{"id":239,"date":"2023-05-05T12:20:20","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T11:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iuma.ulpgc.es\/?page_id=239"},"modified":"2024-03-15T10:52:32","modified_gmt":"2024-03-15T10:52:32","slug":"div-mems","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.iuma.ulpgc.es\/en\/divisiones\/div-mems\/","title":{"rendered":"MEMS (Microelectronics and Microsystems)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-tabs-block-my-block\"><ul class=\"ulpgcds-tabs\"><li href=\"#tab-5220\" class=\"active\">Presentaci\u00f3n<\/li><li href=\"#tab-6142\" class=\"\">Miembros<\/li><li href=\"#tab-38\" class=\"\">L\u00edneas de Investigaci\u00f3n<\/li><li href=\"#tab-8406\" class=\"\">Proyectos<\/li><\/ul>\n<div class=\"wp-block-tabs-block-tab-item ulpgcds-tab-content active\" id=\"tab-5220\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Presentaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lo largo de la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, la Divisi\u00f3n de Microelectr\u00f3nica y Microsistemas (DMEMS) del Instituto Universitario de Microelectr\u00f3nica Aplicada (IUMA), ha explorado los \u00e1mbitos cient\u00edfico-tecnol\u00f3gicos del dise\u00f1o de sistemas micro electromec\u00e1nicos (MEMS), y del an\u00e1lisis y optimizaci\u00f3n de sistemas empotrados que incluyen MEMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La actividad del grupo, y por tanto su experiencia, es muy extensa en el dise\u00f1o de sistemas complejos de altas prestaciones, combinando el conocimiento de procesado de se\u00f1al, sistemas de conmutaci\u00f3n de paquetes en redes de alta velocidad y tecnolog\u00edas de dise\u00f1o y co-dise\u00f1o de SoC basado en n\u00facleos IP, con la especificaci\u00f3n de arquitecturas, el desarrollo de herramientas de dise\u00f1o, y el modelado y dise\u00f1o de circuitos integrados de aplicaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lo largo de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, la divisi\u00f3n ha participado en proyectos europeos multidisciplinares que incluyen \u00e1reas de conocimiento propias de la biolog\u00eda (nutrici\u00f3n, gen\u00e9tica, patolog\u00eda, entre otros) y de electr\u00f3nica (microelectr\u00f3nica, arquitectura de computadores, entre otros) con aplicaci\u00f3n a la industria de la acuicultura. Ha desarrollado patentes, con equipos multidisciplinares, donde se incluye el dispositivo biosensor AEFishBIT. Se trata de un implante para la detecci\u00f3n de la actividad f\u00edsica y la respiraci\u00f3n de especies de inter\u00e9s en acuicultura. AEFishBIT se utiliza en la actualidad para muestreo de individuos juveniles y adultos de lubina, dorada y salm\u00f3n, monitorizando el comportamiento y el movimiento opercular, y su relaci\u00f3n con la nutrici\u00f3n, gen\u00e9tica y patolog\u00eda de la especie. Otras aplicaciones en el marco de proyectos europeos con inter\u00e9s nacional y local, incluye los sistemas de monitorizaci\u00f3n de jaulas oce\u00e1nicas en acuicultura, a trav\u00e9s de sistemas empotrados que incluyen aceler\u00f3metros (MEMS) alimentados a bater\u00eda o con recuperaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda (MoonlightBIT). MoonlightBIT es un sistema aut\u00f3nomo de monitorizaci\u00f3n de l\u00edneas de amarre de trenes de jaula de acuicultura en mar abierto, tanto de par\u00e1metros estructurales como 3307<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SL4.1: Sistemas Nano y Micro Electromec\u00e1nicos<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"subtitle-s wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>T1: Dise\u00f1o de MEMS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El campo de los microsensores, y microactuadores, denominado MEMS (\u201cmicroelectromechanical systems\u201d), ha crecido de forma espectacular en este principio de siglo. Utilizando las mismas herramientas que fueron desarrolladas para el dise\u00f1o de circuitos electr\u00f3nicos, y complement\u00e1ndolas con otras propias del campo de la mec\u00e1nica y la electricidad, como an\u00e1lisis con elementos finitos, CAD en 3D, entre otros se dise\u00f1an, simulan y fabrican miniaturas de sensores, transductores y estructuras mec\u00e1nicas sobre silicio y otros materiales. Esta l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n, tiene como objetivo el adquirir una visi\u00f3n lo m\u00e1s completa posible de este campo, sus aplicaciones, sus desarrollos actuales y futuros; empezando por la microfabricaci\u00f3n, siguiendo por los avances en microsensores y microtransductores utilizados en el sector aeroespacial, en biomedicina, en bioingenier\u00eda, y su aplicaciones; y terminando con las t\u00e9cnicas de integraci\u00f3n microelectr\u00f3nica de estos dispositivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"subtitle-s wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>T2: An\u00e1lisis de prestaciones de sistemas y an\u00e1lisis de gesti\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n se dirige hacia el an\u00e1lisis de prestaciones de sistemas y de gesti\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda e incluye la ingenier\u00eda asociada para encontrar soluciones simuladas y anal\u00edticas de micro y nano sistemas reales. La l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n incluye otras \u00e1reas de inter\u00e9s: m\u00e9todos de optimizaci\u00f3n heur\u00edsticos y deterministas, evaluaci\u00f3n cuantitativa de sistemas, \u00e1lgebras de procesos estoc\u00e1sticos, redes de colas, generaci\u00f3n distribuida y soluci\u00f3n de muy largas cadenas de Markov, simulaci\u00f3n de eventos discretos, modelado de tr\u00e1fico de redes y topolog\u00edas. La investigaci\u00f3n en este grupo se orienta hacia el an\u00e1lisis de prestaciones de hardware, an\u00e1lisis de prestaciones de software, an\u00e1lisis de prestaciones de sistemas empotrados, an\u00e1lisis de prestaciones a nivel de sistema, y an\u00e1lisis de prestaciones de aplicaciones (algoritmos).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"subtitle-s wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>T3: Modelado de Sistemas en Chip y Simulaci\u00f3n Estructurada<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta actividad se centra en dos t\u00e9cnicas complementarias para el dise\u00f1o de sistemas: el modelado de sistemas en chip SoC, y la simulaci\u00f3n estructurada de su funcionamiento y prestaciones. Las t\u00e9cnicas de modelado se orientan a la descripci\u00f3n de estos sistemas en niveles de abstracci\u00f3n altos, por lo que necesariamente deber\u00e1 obviarse la necesidad de hacer referencia a detalles que en este nivel no resultan determinantes para la concepci\u00f3n de los mismos.
