Su  trabajo lleva por t\u00edtulo <strong>&quot;Aportaciones al dise&ntilde;o, simulaci\u00f3n,  caracterizaci\u00f3n y modelado de inductores integrados sobre silicio&quot;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Este trabajo ha sido dirigido por Antonio Hern\u00e1ndez Ballester y Francisco Javier del Pino Su\u00e1rez.<\/p>\n<p> <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p><strong>Resumen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(<a title=\"Descargar PDF\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"index.php?option=com_docman&#038;task=doc_download&#038;gid=31&#038;Itemid=102\" rel=\"noopener\"><font face=\"trebuchet ms,geneva\">Descargar PDF<\/font><\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>El aumento en los \u00faltimos a&ntilde;os de la demanda de equipos y sistemas de comunicaci\u00f3n inal\u00e1mbricos, ha lanzado a los grupos de investigaci\u00f3n a la b\u00fasqueda de nuevas soluciones que permitan mayor integraci\u00f3n y menor coste. Esto conduce al uso de tecnolog\u00edas de circuitos integrados est\u00e1ndar de silicio: CMOS, BiCMOS y SiGe. Sin embargo, los componentes pasivos integrados sobre estas tecnolog\u00edas representan un problema debido a su baja calidad y elevado consumo de \u00e1rea.<\/p>\n<p>En el presente trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n se estudia el dise&ntilde;o, caracterizaci\u00f3n, simulaci\u00f3n y modelado de inductores de alta calidad integrados en la tecnolog\u00eda 0.35&micro;m Silicio-Germanio de Austrian Mikro Systeme (AMS). <\/p>\n<p>Tras repasar los principios de funcionamiento de un inductor y realizar un estudio de los fen\u00f3menos f\u00edsicos que se dan en &eacute;l, se describe el procedimiento empleado en la realizaci\u00f3n de las medidas experimentales y la metodolog\u00eda a seguir para eliminar los efectos par\u00e1sitos que introducen las estructuras de medida que rodean el inductor. Para completar el proceso de caracterizaci\u00f3n, se desarrolla una nueva metodolog\u00eda de extracci\u00f3n del modelo equivalente del inductor a partir de los par\u00e1metros S obtenidos en las medidas.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado se analiza en profundidad la conveniencia del uso de la herramienta de simulaci\u00f3n electromagn&eacute;tica Momentum para el dise&ntilde;o de inductores. Tras explicar cu\u00e1l es la configuraci\u00f3n correcta, se estudian las distintas propuestas publicadas de simulaci\u00f3n de bobinas y se establece una nueva manera que, como veremos, resulta la m\u00e1s apropiada. <\/p>\n<p>Otra de las l\u00edneas m\u00e1s importantes en la investigaci\u00f3n de inductores integrados es la b\u00fasqueda de un modelo param&eacute;trico que pronostique el comportamiento del dispositivo sin necesidad de fabricarlo o simularlo. En esta tesis se expondr\u00e1 el modelo utilizado, que incluye una novedosa caracterizaci\u00f3n del sustrato que modela con precisi\u00f3n las p&eacute;rdidas el&eacute;ctricas en el mismo.<\/p>\n<p>Este modelo param&eacute;trico se emplear\u00e1 para generar una herramienta de selecci\u00f3n de inductores llamada I-MODEL. Con ella el dise&ntilde;ador obtiene r\u00e1pidamente las dimensiones y el modelo equivalente del inductor \u00f3ptimo para un valor inductivo y una frecuencia determinadas. La herramienta ha permitido el desarrollo de una librer\u00eda de inductores de altas prestaciones de valores comprendidos entre 0.5nH y 5nH para las frecuencias 0.85 GHz, 1.5 GHz, 1.8 GHz, 2.4 GHz y 5.6 GHz en la tecnolog\u00eda 0.35 &micro;m SiGe de AMS.<\/p>\n<p>Por \u00faltimo, se estudian las nuevas estructuras inductivas que han ido apareciendo como alternativa a los inductores convencionales.
