Laura Quintana Quintana, graduated from Biomedical Engineering bachelor’s degree at the University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain, in June 2019. Afterwards, she graduated from Applied Electronics and Telecommunications Research master’s Degree at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, in 2020. Since then, she has been conducting her research activity in the Integrated System Design Division, Research Institute for Applied Microelectronics of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the field of bioengineering. In 2020, she started to work as a Researcher in the ITHaCA (IdenTificacion Hiperespectral de tumores CerebrAles – ProID2017010164) and PLATINO (Plataforma HW/SW Distribuida para el Procesamiento Inteligente de Informacion sensorial Heterogénea en Aplicaciones de Supervisión de GRandes Espacios Naturales – TEC2017-86722-C4-1-R) projects. Her current research interest includes the use of hyperspectral imaging for different applications within the medical field, especially in hyperespectral histology for cancer analysis.
