Doctoral Thesis Defense of David Galante
The Institute for Applied Microelectronics is pleased to announce the upcoming Ph.D. thesis defense of researcher David Galante. This event will take place next Friday, July 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Conference Room of the Electronics and Telecommunications Building, Tafira University Campus.
David Galante will present his thesis entitled RFIC/MMIC Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) for wireless communications. This PhD thesis addresses the design trade-offs of low noise amplifiers (LNAs) for RF (ISM, UWB) and Microwave (K-band) frequencies. It provides techniques, topologies and design processes aimed at improving trade-offs between performance such as power consumption, circuit area, linearity, noise figure, gain and bandwidth, all critical aspects in the implementation of LNAs.
The thesis examination panel will be composed by Professor D. Roque José Berenguer Pérez, Universidad de Navarra; Professor D. Fernando Muñoz Chavero , Universidad de Sevilla; associated professor D. Benito González Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, who will evaluate the results and methodology used in the research.
The academic community and the general public are invited to attend the presentation.
