Himar Fabelo and Samuel Ortega destacan en el ranking de Stanford  de aquellos científicos con mayor impacto de citas en el último año, en este caso el año 2023. tanto Himar Fabelo como Samuel Ortega han realizado su doctorado en las aplicaciones médicas de las imágenes hiperespectrales bajo la dirección del catedrático Gustavo Marrero.
