PhD thesis defense of Antonio José Rodríguez Almeida

The University Institute of Applied Microelectronics (IUMA) is pleased to announce the forthcoming defence of the doctoral thesis by researcher Mr Antonio José Rodríguez Almeida, supervised by Dr Gustavo Marreo Callicó and Dr Himar Fabelo Gómez. This event will take place on Friday 10 April 2026 at 10:00 am in the Assembly Hall of the Electronics and Telecommunications Building, Tafira University Campus.

Antonio José Rodríguez Almeida will present his thesis entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Hardware Acceleration for Risk Prediction Analysis in Chronic Diseases using Medical Data”.

The examination panel consists of Dr Santiago Marco Sola from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Dr Javier Agustín García García from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Dr Luis Fernández Luque from Adhera Health SL, who will assess the results and the methodology employed in the research.

The academic community and the general public are cordially invited to attend the presentation of this doctoral thesis.
