Doctoral Thesis Defense of Raquel León

The Institute for Applied Microelectronics is pleased to announce the upcoming Ph.D. thesis defense of researcher Raquel León. This event will take place next Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11:30 AM at the Conference Room of the Electronics and Telecommunications Building, Tafira University Campus.

Raquel León will present her thesis entitled Contributions to the Development of Hyperspectral Imaging Instrumentation and Algorithms for Medical Applications Targeting Real-time Performances. This research addresses the use of hyperspectral imaging as a diagnostic tool in different medical applications.

The evaluation committee will be composed by Dr. Roberto Sarmiento, Institute for Applied Microelectronics (IUMA) – Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC); Dr. Daniel Ulises Campos Delgado Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP), Mexico, Dr. Domènec Savi Valls Rovira i Virgilli University (URV), Tarragona; Dra. Svitlana Zinger , Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/E), The Netherlands; and Dr. César Sanz Álvaro from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), who will evaluate the results and methodology used in the research.
